FoundersAnita Kunić, director and co-founderAnita Kunić graduated Hotel and Tourism Management from the American College of Management and Technology in Dubrovnik, a sister college of the Rochester Institute of Technology from New York. She continued her education focusing on hotel operations and financial management by participating in different certification programs such as: Operis London - Advanced International Project Finance Seminars in 2005 & 2006, FOIP study – Preparation and valuation of Feasibility Studies in 2004, Hyatt University Diploma in 2000, American Hotel & Motel Association (AH&MA) Certificate in Food Purchasing Management and AH&MA Certificate in Quality Sanitation Management in 1998. Ms. Kunić started her career in 1999 as a food & beverage intern in Hyatt Regency Beaver Creek, a 5-diamond ski resort in Colorado, U.S.A. She continued her professional advancement as the Assistant General Manager in Hotel Lafodia on the island of Lopud in Croatia and then moved to financial analysis advising for Atlas Travel Agency as an outside consultant. She then decided to take a challenging position in NGO sector and joined East West Institute in managing their project in the South Adriatic called Trans-frontier Cooperation Program designed to spur the economic growth and cooperation between the neighbouring countries, mostly in tourism development and natural resources preservation. Before co-founding OMNI Grupa, Ms. Kunić spent three years in Agrokor, Croatian largest privately owned company, and one of the most eminent corporations in SEE consisting of over 35 subsidiaries in 7 countries, as Assistant Director of Investments and was promoted to Senior Analyst in the Department of Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions responsible for Feasibility studies preparation and valuation, Financial modeling, preparation and monitoring of mid term business plans, evaluation of potential mergers and acquisitions in SEE region, and investor relations with the world largest investment banks and equity funds such as EBRD, IFC, UBS, ABN Amro, Merrill Lynch, Permira and JP Morgan. |
